GoLark is a website for finding and sharing fun things to do in your town. Whether it's a concert, museum exhibit, lecture, or just something cool to see in your area, if you submit it, others can find it! All Larks are submitted and voted on by the GoLark community so that the best ones get pushed to the top of the list.
Top Larks and New Larks
Top Larks are the best events and activities voted up by the GoLark community. New Larks are events and activities that have just been submitted. If a Lark on the New page gets enough votes it will make it onto the Top Larks page.
Voting On Larks
Voting on larks is a great way to share your opinion with the rest of the GoLark community. Clicking on the "Up Arrow" or "Down Arrow" buttons to the right of each lark will affect its ranking in the overall list. The more you share your opinion, the better the list will get. Voting on larks also helps GoLark keep track of the things you like or dislike for better recommendations. Submitting larks is a great way to share fun things to do with the rest of the GoLark community.
Popularity & Points
Points are the number of "up" votes versus "down" votes. It gives you a rough idea of how interested people are in a Lark. Popularity gives you a different idea by taking into account how quickly those "up" votes happened. So if two Larks get submitted at the same time and one gets 5 points in 2 minutes while the other gets 5 points in 2 days, the first one is liked better by the GoLark community.
Submitting New Larks
Submitting is also a great way to promote an event or activity, whether it be a local band playing or a pleasant hike through the woods.
Browsing Tag Categories
Browsing through tags is a great way to find things that interest you. By clicking the View Categories link you can view all the tag words associated with larks in the list. Clicking tag words will show all other larks related to it.
Anyone Can Join
GoLark is free to join. So join up and start voting and sharing the fun happenings you hear about. Submit as much as you like!

This is the first version of GoLark. Down the road we will be introducing new and exciting features to the site. To ensure a quality user experience we encourage you to send us feedback so that we can keep improving the site.
